Hello Sunshine - A Video by Joe Quint

Joe Quint, a documentary photographer who has spent a decade exploring the effects of gun violence, featured a former participant of Souls Shot Portrait Project, Roz Pichardo, in one of his recent videos.

Roz is not only a survivor of domestic and gun violence, but also a fighter for her community. She has endured unimaginable tragedies, such as being thrown off a bridge by an abusive ex, losing her brother to murder, and her twin sister to gun suicide. Yet, she transforms her pain into purpose by serving the marginalized people of North Philadelphia. She supports families of homicide victims and helps hundreds of people struggling with opioid addiction. Roz believes that her healing and survival are linked to healing others.
