Portrait of Lauretha Vaird by Jonny Castro

From the curator: Jonny Castro has made two portraits of police officers for the Souls Shot Portrait Project. Officer Castro is a forensic sketch artist for the Philadelphia Police Department who creates portraits of fallen officers on his own time. His straightforward realistic portraits emphasize the determined calm of his subjects. We are honored to have Officer Castro as a participant in the project.
