Soul Shot: Terrance Williams Portrait of Terrance Dontay Williams by Marge Feldman

From the artist Marge Feldman: Terrance, his expression, clothes and likeness were amalgamated from about 20 photos provided to Marge Feldman by Theresa Williams.  The neighborhood elements were searched for on Google Earth, using a street corner mentioned in an article about Terrance in the Philadelphia Inquirer. 

From the curator: Marge has framed Terrance’s face and torso with trees that are green flames leaping from the dissolving buildings bringing to mind a kind of phoenix rising above it, a gentle rebirth in a more merciful realm.
